The assignment: Alter the Mona Lisa.
I'm really proud of this! I don't use colored pencils often, and I'm kind of intimidated by them, but that didn't stop me from having this turn out pretty good.
I realize (and lament) that any sort of perspective--atmospheric, linear, or what have you--is completely nonexistant. The color balance of the image is off, too. I know the right is very bright and the left is very dark. The hydrants might be too red for their own good, too. But, it's too late now! I'm thinking of doing a boston terrier version of this for my art teacher as a farewell present, and I'll correct these problems in that version.
It's Waffle, my yet nonexistant pembroke welsh corgi. He's stoked about crossdressing as Mona Lisa. Can't you tell by that great smile on his face?

edit2: Changed Title. Darkened some areas, added detail/more definition to Waffle and the background. Added contrast, maybe it's ugly. Someone tell me. D:
